Post-punk gives my music its structure. Electronics shape the body. Minimalism is the philosophy.

Peter Dos Santos
The person behind HAGA187

The project
Haga187 is the solo project of Peter Dos Santos, a Lille-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer working at the intersection of post-punk, experimental music, and alternative sound design.
Bass at the center
Built around a bass-driven approach, Haga187 develops a distinctive sonic identity where repetition, tension, and minimal structures form the foundation of each composition. Drawing from post-punk, indie, and experimental influences, the project avoids conventional songwriting in favor of atmosphere, progression, and controlled dynamics.
Made independently
Entirely self-produced, Haga187 operates as a one-man system where bass, texture, rhythm, and space interact to create immersive and often narrative-driven pieces. The project’s prolific discography reflects a consistent artistic vision, moving between raw, confrontational tracks and more restrained, hypnotic soundscapes.
Press and radio
Haga187 has gained support from a growing international network of underground media, including Thoughts Words Action, RockerMag, Pop Fantasma, The Heavy Melody, Rocanrol, Ladosis, and others, along with radio support from Groover Radio, Indie AM, Indie CR, and Radio Nova Costa Rica. The project has also been featured in curated playlists alongside artists such as Franz Ferdinand, Kasabian, and The Black Keys, highlighting its ability to bridge experimental approaches with a broader indie audience.
Bass influences
Jean-Jacques Burnel, Simon Gallup, Larry Graham, Bobby Vega, Peter Hook, Tina Weymouth, Paul Simonon, Noel Redding, James Jamerson, Jaco Pastorius, Glenn Cornick, Les Claypool, John Cale.
